5 Minute Crockpot BBQ Pulled Pork

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 8 hours

Total Time: 8 hours, 5 minutes

Perfectly cooked BBQ Pulled Pork with only 5 minutes of work! Let your crock pot do the rest!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2-3 LB boneless pork butt
  • Kosher salt and pepper
  • 1/2-1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce +/-

Directions

  1. Place the sliced onions in an even layer on the bottom of the crockpot
  2. Rub the salt and pepper on all sides of the pork butt, then place it in the crock pot, fat side UP.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth so that it comes about halfway up the side of the meat.
  4. Pour the BBQ Sauce on top and in the chicken broth. I love it to have a lot, so I tend to have a heavier hand when pouring the BBQ, you really can't go wrong!
  5. Turn the crock pot on low, and cover for 8 hours.
  6. After 8 hours, it will shred very easily. Just pull it apart with two forks on a cutting board, separating the fat out.
  7. Toss it back into the crock pot with the delicious sauce and fully coat. Keep 'On Warm' until ready to eat! Enjoy!
