Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a very happy Easter! My parents have been here visiting for the last week, so it’s been lots of fun!
he’d kill me for this one ^^^ ๐
My husband got a 3 1/2 day weekend and we packed it full! Thursday afternoon, his company had a picnic with a live band, balloon animals, jump house, cotton candy machine and more. We spent some time there and then headed out to a late lunch at our favorite irish pub! When we got home, we had a fire in the backyard and later a dance party in the house! We saw Cinderella that night, which we thought was pretty cute ๐
On Friday my husband and I went on a day date! (our first date since October, and only the 3rd in the last year….) It was so nice to get out for the day. We spent hours browsing through record stores, and jumped around a few restaurants. We checked out Dirty Oscars Annex which is a 21+ restaurant, and so insanely amazing. Our neighbors recommended it to us, and it was featured on the Food Networks Diners, Drive Ins, & Dives so we figured it was probably pretty good. Oh hell yah. If you’re ever in the area, go check them out, oh and order the Tasso Tacos, I promise you will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to go back for breakfast, the menu looks insane!
Friday night we watched Interstellar which we completely loved!
On Saturday I spent the majority of the day ‘stupor-vising’ as my dad and husband continued to build be a giant outdoor farmhouse table! I can’t even wait to show you guys, its turning out beautiful! All that is left to do is stain it, but it took me about two days to decide on a color, so sadly it wasn’t finished this weekend! But definitely next! I spent Saturday night
eating candy stuffing eggs and building the kids’ easter baskets, while my husband set out an egg hunt outside!
Sunday we were up and running quickly! We spent an hour letting the kids go crazy going through their baskets, playing with the new toys, & inhaling way to much candy! ๐ Then we were off to Easter mass. The church had a little easter egg dash for the kids following mass which was fun, then we headed to brunch where I had some of the yummiest corned beef eggs benedict and shared a gigantic stack of pancakes with my kids. (I’m pregnant, don’t judge!)
We came home, let the kids play and then had an easter egg hunt. My two year old was hilarious, he cracked open every egg as quick as he could! It was gorgeous weather so we spent the afternoon outside, music blaring playing ball with the kids and running around. My mom cooked us all a delicious easter dinner, and it was so wonderful to have her cooking again!
