Soft and Sparkly (& 2017 Goals!)

Soft and Sparkly (& 2017 Goals!)

sweater (on major sale!) | jeans | loafers | sunglasses

Lately all Ive been living in are oversized sweaters and jeans. They’re cozy, chic, and I like feeling put together. And just because the holidays are over, doesn’t mean I have to put away the sparkles. I’m still as obsessed with these gorgeous loafers as ever!

This sweater is unbelievably soft and cozy, it runs big so size down. (I’m wearing a small) & it’s worth every.single.penny. I am officially hooked on free people sweaters. I have a couple now and they’re unbelievable, totally worth it!

For my 2017 goals, scroll down! xo

Think Outside the Box

I think this is mostly geared towards the blog, but I want to be more creative, more unique and create content that is interesting, relateable, and useful. If there is anything you want to see, do share, I always welcome suggestions! I’ve contemplated sharing recipes again occasionally, but truly my passion lies in my family and fashion, so that is where my focus will continue, I would just like to be more creative with my content!

Healthy Lifestyle

I live a pretty healthy lifestyle generally. I got off track a bit around the holidays, but I’m back at it full swing and it feels really good. I guess with this one, I would just like to be more consistent with it. I know life happens, things come up, but I want to try harder about letting go of the excuses and just focusing on what makes me feel good.

No spend *month*

I’m not sure which month to do it quite yet, I need to make sure nothing big is going on, so I’m actually thinking about February. I would like to go an entire month without spending a dime on anything other than groceries, gas, and bills. If you know me, you know how completely and utterly impossible this is, which is truly part of the problem and why I need to do it in the first place. Kind of a little spending cleanse, if you will. Anyone interested in joining me? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Be present

I am terrible about putting down my phone. Ill be the first to admit it. I do try to leave it in the other room if I’m playing with the kids, but otherwise its just an extra limb. It’s awful, and I know we’re in an age of technology and constantly feeling like we’re missing something if we’re not always checking every type of social media, but I swear the world will keep spinning if I don’t have my phone around me all the time. I want to be more conscience of just enjoying the moment, not EVERYTHING needs to have a photo taken of it. If it’s not posted, it didn’t happen. ugh. no. I don’t need to see everything through a lens…my own eyes are just as good, if not better ๐Ÿ™‚

Seek More Adventure

There are always places I want to go and things I want to do but I’m kind of a homebody. I love being home with my husband and kids. And when we do talk about going to do more or see something, sometimes use the kids as an excuse…’oh it’ll be to much work’, which is literally just lazy parenting, I’ll admit that. Plus when we do suck it up and seek adventure, they’re always seriously amazing (unless we’re heading to the mall ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) they love seeing new things and places and the memories that we end making are worth everything…so I really want to make it a point to get out and do more. Hopefully one weekend a month, put aside all the projects and house work, and drive somewhere new!

Now I would love to hear your Goals for 2017! I can feel it…its gonna be a good year!
