Earlier this month my son turned two! I can’t hardly believe it! Time sure is flying..I know I say that all the time but GOL-LLLY. If I could wish for anything in the world it would be to slow it down. My kiddos are growing up to quickly! 🙁 Anyhoo, amidst the craziness that is wedding planning, we managed to throw him a little birthday party. The kid is obsessed with mickey mouse. obsessed. He starts singing the “hot diggity dog” song to waitresses when that’s what he wants for lunch. He carries a little mickey animal around with him, watches the cute little show every morning, and insisted on mickey flip flops this Summer. Yes, hes two and he insisted. Sometimes he can be pretty high maintenance, like his momma. But I love him for it.
So since Ive been slacking in the blogging department lately, sorry, I thought I could at least share some of these fun photos from his day! It was so great to have it all about him, because really, its been all about us the last two months with the wedding. We did the best we could to make sure he still always felt special. My parents came and picked him up that morning, which was nice. It gave us a chance to get everything decorated before he got there, so it was more of a surprise. We got him a little power hummer, and he rode up in that from the driveway, super cute! (Though I’m not sure how he felt about it..I think he was a little overwhelmed by all the people and all the things!) We did a gourmet hot dog bar, which was a huge hit! All the combinations, oh man, I was in heaven. I looove loaded hot dogs! Then of course, cake, cupcakes, cookies, and other snacks and sweets. It was perfect weather and it was so wonderful to have all of his family and friends there. SO here’s a few snapshots 🙂 (Oh, and thats cake, not dirt all over his face! 😉 )
