Happy First Day of Spring! It’s finally here…boy what a long Winter. Now, the weather just needs to catch up! It’s been pretty nice here, I can’t complain, but I know that a lot of the country is still seeing some pretty chilly temps and lots of snow. ahem…Maaaaaaaine.
I got crafty this week. That’s kind of a big deal for me. I’m not very creative. BUT Pinterest to the rescue! I made some really fun (& long!) egg garland! I followed this little tutorial, and it’s super easy. We zoomed through about three episodes of Dexter while I sat on the floor and strung away! My kids were really excited about it the next morning, so that along was worth it 🙂
My best friend is getting married in June! I was supposed to be in her wedding, but she changed the date and now I am not sure that I can make it 🙁 Do you know how much that blows? I’m praying my husband can get the time off and we can make it back to Maine, but umm, he just started his new job last week, taking leave so soon is going to be pretty tough. But I am NOT flying cross-country alone with two kids. Long flights, an antsy one year old..its not the most fun combination.
We’re still working our way through Dexter, we’re just about to finish season 5. I’m still loving it. It’s taking us forever though because we keep stopping after each season to catch up on a little Parenthood. Or spend a couple weeks watching movies. My husband has a degree in Film, so he’s incredibly obsessed with movies. I kind of am too now. What I used to like to watch compared to what I like now, is quite different. I like to think ‘matured my views’ a little? hmm..
Shopping! My sister and I keep talking about all the Spring clothes… I want all of them. And the shoes..I need places to go to wear half this stuff, but I still want it. SO fun! It’s my favorite time of year to shop…the colors! I recently ordered a couple purses and shoes, and I am apparently so obsessed with mint. That’s not all that surprising though….so pretty!
Do you know what drives me nuts? When you go to the beach and you see about five girls with the same bathing suit on..I love Victoria’s Secret as much as the next girl, but I’m trying to broaden my bathing suit buying venues from here on out… I’m tired of always seeing everyone else with the same ones. Where do you buy your bathing suits?
I’ve been juicing on the daily now. That sounds awful. What I mean is, making juices everyday. We received a juicer for our wedding, but like everything else, was in storage until we got here. Ever since I unpacked it, I just can’t stop. What an expensive habit. We’re flyiiiiing through fruits and veggies. It’s crazy. At least it’s healthy. Whenever I make an especially good one, I share it on Instagram (with the recipe!) So if you’re into juicing, check it out. I love trying new combos.
Speaking of fruits and vegetables. I signed up for Full Circle. It’s a produce delivery service, so they bring fresh, organic, fruits and veggies right to your house based on whats in season. It’s awesome. You don’t know exactly what you’re getting, and it’s also helped my expand my cooking, since I am receiving a couple things that I wouldn’t normally buy. It’s very cool.
Oh, it’s International Happiness Day! I didn’t even know that was a thing until good ol’ Kathie Lee & Hoda told me this morning. Yep, just me. So spread the smiles 🙂
