Sweet and Tangy Glazed Blood Orange Blondies are an easy and quick perfect little treat!
Pink blondies! This is probably my one and only contribution to Valentines day, & it was completely unintentional, I just have an affinity for blood oranges. I kind of go crazy for them this time of year since their season is so short! (blood orange margs & mojitos are the bomb, fyi.)
Do you celebrate valentines day? I’m pretty indifferent towards it, I’ve never really cared about it or made a big deal. Although this year, I kind of have my eye on a prettttty nice watch, so Im kind of using vday as an excuse to get a present. we’ll see. I sorta feel guilty for that too.
What I don’t feel guilty about? what I have absolutely zero shame for? Wanna know? Ill tell yah….the only reason I’m over the moon about the lovey dovey pink and red holiday this year…50 Shades of Grey!! (eek!) I know, you can roll your eyes and shake your head, but I don’t care. Its my guilty pleasure. I know the movie is going to be horrific and I’m sure pretty cringe-worthy, I mean, have you read the books? But still, I’m excited!
Oh! So since these are pink, you should make them for someone special for valentines day, or for yourself, that’s cool too. Judgement free zone here. They’re super simple, only one bowl, about ten minutes hands on time, before they’re in the oven, and before you know it, your cooling them down so you can drizzle on that succulent glaze. Because its allll about that glaze, ’bout that glaze…
These little squares of heaven aren’t overly sweet by any means, they’re sliiiightly dense without being to heavy or thick. They’re sweet and tangy and delicious. So just make them why dontcha!?
