Yesterday was 60 degrees and I was able to take my munchkins for a walk, today its freezing again and we’re supposed to get 3-6 inches of snow. Good ol’ Maine. Case in point as to why I hibernate in the winter. Having a newborn is not helping the matter. My big field trips these days are going ten minutes to Trader Joes, otherwise its yoga pants and hanging out at home with my babies. How far away is Spring?
I was whining the other morning about having to leave the house by myself with two kiddos..karma got to me for it because I ended up having to take my little guy to the doctors..poor babe is only 4 weeks old and is already sick and in need of medicine. Stupid flu. Once again, how far away is Spring?
Did you watch the Golden Globes the other night? First off, I miss Ricky Gervais. He was the best. HIL.ARIOUS. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler gave it a good shot, but they just.don’t.gotit. Also, the fashion? Major fail I think. The only one who I thought had a gorgeous dress was Jennifer Lawrence. It seemed like everyone else was going all J.Lo and wearing a slit down to their navel. No bueno.
Oh, and Girls apparently is like, an awesome show? I’m all about starting the first season this week and seeing what its all about! They did well the other night!
SO I feel like I shouldn’t even share this crack with you, because we’re supposed to be all healthy or something in the New Year…but c’mon, we’re halfway through January, which means most people resolutions are already shot! 😉 Cinnamon Puppy chow, made with Cinnamon Chips. You know, the best flavor chip, that I keep in a mason jar and snack on daily. This stuff is ADDICTING. I most definitely made two batches in the first 24 hours and demolished it. (I only shared a little) I can’t stop eating it! It takes 5 minutes to make and is the greatest snack EVER.
Do itttttttt. You won’t be able to stop either!
Ingredients
- 4 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 cup Cinnamon Chips
- 4 cups Chex cereal
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/8 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
- Add the cinnamon chips and butter to a microwave safe bowl, and microwave for 30-40 seconds.
- Give it a good stir and pop back in for about 10 seconds until fully melted.
- Pour over the chex cereal and toss until well coated.
- Add the powdered sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon to a gallon zip-lock bag and add the cinnamon covered chex.
- Shake it up to coat with the sugar mix.
- Either scarf it right down because you can't resist, (like me), or cool in the fridge until hardened! Enjoy!
