Let’s talk about Fall TV for a minute…there are so many new shows every year, and over half of them get cancelled. It’s like they suck me in, just to spit me out and disappoint me. Has anyone started watching any of the new ones? I’ve already professed my love for The Voice & Revenge, and there are numerous silly sitcoms we’ve been watching for yearsss, but what about Revolution or Last Resort? I love them..such crazy premises!
I watch far to much tv, Im sure. But I never got into Breaking Bad and I’ve had so many people recently tell me that its “SO GREAT!” and “you HAVE to watch it!” DO any of you watch? What do you think? I think I have to many shows already, we can’t keep up..not with my fiancés schedule the way it is.
Moving on. Cinnamon Apple Sauce. I know there’s about a bazillion recipes out there for it, and most everyone knows how to make it.. but I just had to share this one, because it’s my favorite and we LOVE IT! My little guy ate almost the whole jar in a 48 hour period.
The cinnamon applesauce makes your house smell amazing as its cooking up and it tastes even better afterwards! Top it on pork! Eat it with a spoon, no matter how you chose to eat this, it is sure to please! Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 8 apples, peeled and quartered (I used Empire Apples)
- Juice of 1 Lemon
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 4 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon white sugar
Directions
- Toss all ingredients in a medium sized pot over medium-low heat.
- Toss to fully coat the apples
- Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes, until the apples are soft
- Using a potato masher, mash them to your desired consistency
Notes
Empire Apples are pretty tart, so if you're using a sweeter apple, you may want to cut down on the sugar slightly.
