Light and refreshing, this antioxidant rich smoothie is perfect for giving your body a boost!
Umm hi, I don’t know about you, but after this weekend, I need a detox. Like, a big one. Don’t even misunderstand me, it was so fun, and SO delicious!
We ate A LOT of ridiculous food, did some fun memorial day shopping, (best sales!), took our kids to the zoo and the aquarium, drank a lot, we hung out outside most of the weekend, and pissed off our neighbors,I’m sure, with the loud music…but the entire weekend was a blast. Having my husband around for four days was just the icing on the cake!
Speaking of cake…or food in general, I still feel completely full to the brim! I intend on living off juicing, smoothies, salads, and lemon water for the next seven days. But please don’t hold me to that. Sometime I think I talk a little smack. But at the current state..that’s where I’m heading.
I thought it only appropriate to share one of my favorite smoothie combos. Sometimes I hate doing this because I know there about a bazillion and one, (no exaggeration) combinations, and its way to easy to throw anything in a blender and call it a smoothie. But sometimes, a combination is just that good that the wealth must be shared!
And this is one of those times. I pretty much use this recipe often and switch back and forth between the strawberry in this one, or mango’s. I actually prefer mango’s if I have a choice..they just make it a little creamier and a tad bit sweeter, but I love the strawberries too, so you can use either! It’s light, healthy, filling, and really fantastic. #coconutforlife
