I started a new series this weekend called, Happy Hour. I figure these days with my little ones, I don’t get out much but when I do its usually to meet a friend or go with my hubs to happy hour. Its early enough that we can get home and get the kiddos in bed still. Its a fun little date! It’s where we catch up, talk gossip with my girlfriends, or just get some US time. Its a great couple hour breather from being around dirty diapers and spit up. It rejuvenates me and I feel like I’m a better mom when I get away for a couple hours.
So when I was thinking of a name for my random thoughts to be shared, I figured Happy Hour was perfect. Its the best chance I get to catch up with the rest of the world, so Id like to invite you all to happy hour, hopefully weekly, but as often as possible for sure! It’ll be a fun way to share and catch up! And please always feel free to comment and talk back. It’ nice to have conversations with you all 🙂
Okay, so on to these crazy good waffles! Not only are they healthy, whole wheat waffles, but there is a berry puree cooked into the waffles and a homemade berry syrup drizzled over a stack! HECK YES! Clocking it at only 165 calories for a large waffle including the syrup, you can indulge a little! 🙂 These waffles are wonderfully fluffy, light and are a perfect hidden healthy breakfast! I froze the leftovers and fed my son with them for breakfast for a week by popping them in the toaster or microwave! He devoured them right up always asking for more!
The berry syrup is the icing on the cake aka the syrup on the waffle stack! Hardy har har har…Im tired. Seriously though, its necessary, and you must make it! It takes two minutes, then you leave it to juice itself! That is not meant to sound dirty…maybe I’m the only one that took it that way? Ok, I’m going to stop now, but you should really try these!
