Strawberry Colada

Strawberry Colada

So it’s Friday, It’s Snowing. Again. And I’m giving you a tropical drink. Why? Because I need some tropical weather in my life and I’m working really hard at willing Spring along a little bit quicker. I don’t think it’s working. A girl can dream.

Strawberry Colada

Funny little story I read yesterday. Maybe you’ve heard it too. A 26 year old girl stole someone’s Wallet and was spending her money, writing bad checks, using her ID, etc. So her and a few of her friends walk into a restaurant and order some drinks. She hands the waitress “her ID”, the waitress looks down, recognizes the ID, smiles, and goes to get their; calls the cops. The dumb girl who stole the wallet and was impersonating and spending someones money, hands the ID to the girl that was ON THE ID!! Seriously, how stupid can someone be? She was old enough to drink, so she didn’t need a fake..some people, seriously. I couldn’t stop laughing at the stupidity.

Strawberry Colada

Silly story over..just laugh. Haha okay, so this Strawberry Colada..ohh yumm!! Strawberries, coconut, pineapple, booze…this baby is refreshing, delicious, and light! It’s not very sweet, which is my preference, but if that’s NOT your thing, toss in a little stevia, sugar, agave..whatever floats your boat.

Just turn up the Caribbean tunes, crank the heat, and start sippin’! If you’re lucky enough to live somewhere with the sun and heat beating down, then please go out on your patio and have one for me in the element it should be enjoyed! 😉 Wherever you are, I hope you try this delicious cocktail! Cheers!

I love your rational: cold, icky weather = tropical cocktail. I seriously do the same thing! Husband and I go on vaca in 2 weeks and I am counting down the days until I can have one (or 8!) in actual warm weather!

This sounds so good right now Alaina! I am in the same snow boat you are and all I want is to see the sun again. Sitting on the beach with a drink in hand would be a major bonus 🙂

I read that story too. Just crazy!! I am loving this drink! While I do love pineapple, I am partial to strawberries so I love the idea of adding both!
