Hot Blackberry Fontina Dip with Black Truffle Crostini

Hot Blackberry Fontina Dip with Black Truffle Crostini | Fabtastic Eats

OMG you guys. This dip. THIS DIP. I don’t even know how to explain it! I was soo skeptical when I first saw the combination of flavors, but oh meh goodness…it did not disappoint. Its soo incredible, it is like nothing I have ever had before. I mean..sweet and tart blackberries combined with creamy slightly salty cheese, topped with fresh basil, all piled onto crispy black truffle crostini’s…like woah. There is so much going on but its not like those annoying TV shows where you’re trying to follow about 12 different story lines (ahem, Revenge..which by the way, used to be my favorite..they’re really disappointing this season), uh-uh, nothing like that..its like the perfect marriage. If there was such thing.

But really, a steaming Hot Blackberry Fontina Dip doesn’t seem like you’re typical game day dip, but try it out..its a crazy good flavor combination. Its also SO PRETTY. I love purple. This would be an excellent dip to serve on ladies night, or your next baby or bridal shower. I just love the coloring! Add even more fresh basil on top! My favorite bites were probably the ones with the flavor of the uncooked fresh basil in there! It just pushed it over the top. You must try this one!

Mm, that looks so goood! I’m making the sangria tonight, but couldn’t find blood orange in the store, so I opted for pink grapefruit instead.. Hopefully that wasn’t a bad choice, we’ll see! 🙂

I made this last night for my book club because we had read a book called “Blackberry Winter.” Everyone raved about it! This recipe will definitely go in my rotation!
