The future of FE..

Hi Friends 🙂

Thank you so very much for all your sweet words and congratulations over our exciting announcement! We are really happy to be expanding our family by another sweet little one!

You may (or may not!) have noticed my absence around here lately. It started because I was just so sick. I couldn’t even look at photos of food let alone cook it, smell it, or eat it for quite a few weeks. (You bloggers that push through that and keep on chugging, my hat is off to you, because it’s already a miserable enough feeling as is!)

In the last month and a half or so, of being blog-free in my home, my days with my kids have been so so wonderful. They’re 2 and 3 years old (almost 4!), we don’t have a nanny or babysitter come, and they don’t go to daycare, so its all me all day. Right around the time we found out we were pregnant, my husbands hours changed too, from a normal 8 hour day, to 12-14 hours, so its definitely been an adjustment around here. Many nights hes not home until after the kids are already in bed.

SO! With all the changes, it has been really nice to not have to worry about this here blog in the process. If you’re a blogger, you know how much work it is, and if you’re a reader, you can imagine, so to only have to focus on my kids, and our home, it has been such a wonderful, enjoyable, fun, easy, relaxing change of pace. (You know, aside from the normal struggles of motherhood!) Developing, cooking, photographing, cleaning, etc, with two little munchkins at my feet can be a little stressful, and kind of take the joy out of cooking and blogging. I know there are lots of bloggers out there who do it, but its just not working for us anymore.

With all that being said, I think I’m probably done food blogging. I’m contemplating maybe, possibly transitioning this into a laid back more lifestyle type blog. I know Id lose almost all you wonderful readers in the process, and I totally understand. Maybe Id still post recipes occasionally? Maybe it’ll just be about my pregnancy, my kids, our family, I’m honestly not even sure yet where this will or will not go, but this is where I’m at in my head right now.

I love more than just food, I love fashion and reading, exercising when I’m not nauseous all day ;), I love my kids, and exploring this gorgeous state we live in, I love DIY, and home decor….I would love to talk more about those kinds of things if I do this.

So that’s that! I’ll be sad to see you go, but I also completely understand! This whole thing is a little bittersweet, because this blog has felt like my third baby for so long, but I really believe it’s just time to let go and move on to the next thing.

I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far, happy hump day, or winesday wednesday! (have a glass for me! 😉 )

Can I tell you something? I actually love your non-food posts! Your food posts are obviously awesome too, but I love when bloggers write about more than food and I can read about their other interests and life. My blog totally went through this transition also and I feel like it was for the better! Best of luck and I’ll still be following you on instagram 🙂

I just wanted to say congratulations on your pregnancy! I am sad to see that you will be blogging less, but totally understand that your family should come first. I have two little boys myself (3 yr and 1.5 yr) and am due in two weeks with my third, so I understand how crazy and precious this time in life is! I am not a blogger and have never commented before, but I will be here as a reader when/if you decide to post again!

I was a wonderful time and I have fond memories. Today my daughters are my support system and loves of my life. Not to mention my wonderful grandchildren.
