Hot and Sweet Turkey Burger with Whipped Blue Cheese | Fabtastic Eats I’m about to tell you something that you’re all probably going to think is CRAY-ZEE. Well maybe not alllll of you, but certainly most.

First of all, I never really cared for burgers until I met my husband, soo six years ago. I mean sure I would have one now and then, but I never ordered them out and I certainly didn’t make them at home. They were kind of just ‘whatever’ to me. Thennn he comes along, and they’re his absolute favorite food. I’m pretty sure the first six months we were together he never ordered anything different, well except on our our first date.

Fast forward a few years, 302489 burgers, two kids, and a whole new body later. ahh yah.I think you see where I’m going with this.

I began to eat less red meat, and instead learned to love turkey burgers..a slightly healthier option. (you know, depending on your topping choices!) but still, generally just a little better for my diet, especially when I had four months to lose all my baby weight before my wedding. After the wedding, I kind of went back to an ‘all things go’ kind of diet. Lots of beer was drunk, and burgers were consumed. (The red beefy kind!)

I tried again a few weeks ago with a ground sirloin burger, and I just wasn’t feeling it. They just don’t do it for me anymore.

So here is where I tell you that I absolutely LOVE turkey burgers, and I dont care that some people say they’re not really burgers, because they totally are, or that they’re bland and dry, because they’re totally not. Not if you you know how to do them.

Hot and Sweet Turkey Burger with Whipped Blue Cheese | Fabtastic Eats I’ve shared a few of our favorites here, and I’m giving you another mouthwatering burger today. And it really is mouthwatering. It’s not anywhere near bland or dry. This burger is bursting with flavors!

I’m totally obsessed with these peppers from Trader Joes. I cant stop using them on everythiiiing.  The patty itself is loaded with the sweet and spicy peppers, mesquite seasoning, and a little salt. It’s incredibly moist from the liquid, and not even close to dry, even with the help of the panko to hold it together. Then its topped with a good helping of whipped blue cheese! (yes!) I mean, we’ve whipped feta before, so why not? And trust, its goooood. Finally, we top it all off with sweet, ripe slices of nectarine. Heavennnn.
